Frankenstein is a novel first published anonymously in 1818. It is a story about a young Swiss called Victor Frankenstein who is able to create an artificial man. Mary Shelley was a British novelist of the early 19th century. With Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus she wrote one of the most famous pieces, and entered into the history of literature.
