Spay Day USA is celebrated on February 28, 2017 and annually on the last February Tuesday. The Doris Day Animal League initiated Spay Day USA in 1994 to bring attention to the pet overpopulation problem. Like this animal population control by neutering pets shall be promoted. It is about thousands of dogs, cats and sometimes also rabbits that live abandoned on the streets of the USA.
Their live out there is rough and they become more and more which increases their misery. Spay Day USA help to limit those animals's struggle. Fundraising events are organized by volunteers on Spay Day because spaying or neutering is expensive especially when there is no one to feel responsible.
