Day of the sacrifice 2016

During the Islamic Hajj, the Day of the Sacrifice approximately takes place on September 11, 2016. On this Muslim holiday of the great pilgrimage to Mecca, the pilgrims bring their sacrifices in Mina, as this day is also the Feast of Sacrifice. The day is the third day of the Hajj, and also known as yaum an-nahr, Eid al-Adha or Greater Eid. The event takes place on the tenth day of the Islamic month Dhu l-Hiddscha. The Feast of Sacrifice is celebrated worldwide, and not only by the pilgrims. It is celebrated by Muslims and Druze.
