Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice is observed on March 24, 2018 in Argentina. Since 2006 Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice, or Spanish Día de la Memoria por la Verdad y la Justiciais a public holiday. It honors those who died during the so called Dirty War.
This Process of National Reorganization took place in Argentina from 1974 until 1983 and was a form of state terrorism, when the Argentine Anticommunist Alliance fought against left-wing guerillas and socialism. Finally on March 24 in 1976 the guerillas managed to overthrow Argentina's president Perón. The Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice is the anniversary of this so called 1976 Argentine coup d'état.
