The International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict is held on November 06, 2017. This day has been initiated by the United Nations in 2001 to save the environment even in days of conflicts. Many of such conflicts are caused by exploitation of natural resources like diamonds, gold, water and fruitful grounds.
Wars and armed conflicts can destroy the ecosystem and the environment on the long run far in excess of the conflict – and that is what the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict emphasizes. For the generations to come it is important to set a mark on this mischief.
