Russia Day 2024

On June 12, 2024 Russia celebrates the Russia Day to commemorate the declaration of state sovereignty. The declaration was signed by Soviet leaders on June 12, 1990 and marks the beginning of the democratic reform in Russia. Hence Russia Day is an important national holiday for all Russians in Russia as well as abroad. Most Banks, schools and public offices are closed on this day. People use this occasion to demonstrate national pride and to honor famous Russians or they enjoy the Day and visit various events like concerts and fireworks, which take place in different cities all around the country on Russia Day.
