Statehood Day of Croatia 2024

On June 25, 2024 Croatia celebrates the liberation from Yugoslavia with the Statehood Day of Croatia or, as it also is called, Croatian National Day. In 1991 a majority of 94% of the Croatian citizens voted for Croatia to be an independent and sovereign state, capable of forming alliances with other states. The festivities on this important Croatian public holiday consists of a military parade in the country’s capital Zagreb, organized by the government. Also conferences with the parliament and other gatherings are held, to talk about Croatia’s national and global issues.
