The third quarter of the year 2020, also referred to as Q3 or Q3/2020 starts on July 01 and ends on September 30. As a way of structuring the year, its 12 months are often divided into four quarters. The third quarter includes the months July, August and September which are all the summer months and the first few days of autumn on the Northern hemisphere. On the Southern hemisphere meanwhile the third quarter spans the winter season.
On the Northern hemisphere the third quarter is the one with the brightest days in general and the largest number of sun hours. So people spend this quarter outside if possible and these three months are shaped by open-air pools, barbecues and open-air activities. In the USA the third quarter includes Independence Day on the 4th of July, which is a public holiday people often spend outside, too. Who likes green leaves and landscapes has all the chances of seeing them during the third quarter before it all turns into autumn color in the following quarter four.
