On March 03, 2026, the world marks World Hearing Day. The World Health Organization officially promotes this observance, since 2015 in its current form, on 3 March each year. The date (3/3) symbolically represents two ears.
The day of action aims to raise global awareness of the importance of hearing and ear health. Hearing loss and deafness are major public health concerns worldwide, many of which can be prevented or mitigated through prevention, early screening, and timely care.
World Hearing Day calls on health systems, policymakers, civil society and individuals to commit to ear and hearing care, for example by promoting regular hearing checks, raising awareness about hearing risks, and ensuring equitable access to hearing‑related health services so that healthy hearing becomes a reality for everyone.
