Eid al-Fitr takes place between March 10 and March 12, 2027, and starts on the first day of the month of Shawwal. The islamic festival is also calles Feast of Breaking the Fast, Bayram or Sugar Feast. It belongs to the most important religious holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of dawn-to-sunset fasting. It is forbidden to fast during Eid al-Fitr.

As the Feast of Breaking the Fast starts the date of the observation of new moon, the beginning can vary by location. Anyway, in most countries it is celebrated on the same day as in Saudi Arabia. During the festival, Muslims are encouraged to forgive and forget any differences with others. They also should show happiness, read the takbirat in an open field, say "Eid Mubarak" to other Muslims, pray Fajr in the local Masjid, and go to the Eid prayer on foot.
