Senior Citizens Day is celebrated in the United States on August 21, 2021. The day raises awareness and recognizes the contributions senior citizens conduce to the society of the United Sates. A senior citizen is a person of at least 60 years of age and part of the fastest-growing demographic worldwide. President Ronald Reagan was the initiator of the Senior Citizens Day in the USA, on August 19, 1988. There are also different dates and a variety of appreciation days for elderly people worldwide. But they all have one aim: to appreciate the elderly part of our communities.
