The most famous spinach-fan is certainly Popeye, the sailor, who got all his strength from tin-spinach. But on Fresh Spinach Day fresh spinach should be integrated to everyone's food.
Spinach is a very healthy vegetable. It has low calories but all the same a lot of vitamins. Most importantly spinach offers iron and should be combined with Vitamin C, which is included by oranges or tomatoes. Fresh Spinach Day is good occasion to give this vegetable another chance - it tastes different if it is fresh and has nothing to do with the green pappy dish so many people do not like.
